Fashion curator and founder of multi-label clothing store Liberty Area One, Nod Nuanwan Tatong tells us how traveling has influenced her sense of style.
“When you travel you get new ideas, new inspirations. You are educated in many ways by seeing new things, new people and new scenes. You learn something each time traveling that you can’t get at school or office,” explains Nod.
London hold a special place in Nod’s heart and is the one place that gives her the most inspiration for her unique style, which she describes as “minimal dark mixed with a vintage touch”.
She studied t the London College of Fashion and graduated from the university with a master’s degree. During her time in London, she also worked at a Harrod’s store where she found herself surrounded by designer brands. It was there that she started thinking about someday opening a store with the same concept.
Her last holiday by train in Thailand gave her ideas for the look of her fashion store as well as her personal look, “I went to travel last trip with my friends by train. I saw the train station and got inspiration for my store decoration. Also, I always love to go see the tribe up north. I think what I wear these days I’ve got influenced from them a lot.
